Igniting Mondays with Coaching

Igniting Mondays starts by identifying purpose, meaning, motivation and strengths-based coaching is the way to assist clients to hit the ground running. Using the CliftonStrengths assessment and our Gallup Strengths coaching skills we assist in making Mondays magic.

Whether a client’s focus is on personal or professional topics, it is essential to realize that this is a “person” challenge first and foremost. It is therefore vital to honour the person as well as the challenge they are facing. This involves understanding the psychodynamics of the individual, their purpose and motivations, and their strengths and how these can be leveraged.

Coaching is a process that helps clients learn how to solve their own problems, unlike mentoring where the solutions are taught. The advantage of coaching is that it assists the client to understand that they hold the answer to their challenges, and the coach assists the client in finding that answer.

We find that once a client has received, and benefitted from coaching, they are also more skilled in using coaching as a tool to assist their employees and team members to address challenges and concerns.

Depending on the unique business requirements, the process for coaching is as follows:

  • Coachees meet with coaches and decide who they would want as a coach.
  • Coachees complete the CliftonStrengths assessment as provided by the coach.
  • The coach debriefs the profile with the coachee and teaches them how to name, claim and aim their strengths.
  • The Coachee attends coaching sessions during which a goal or challenge is worked on.
  • The coach is there to assist in using the CliftonStrengths profile to address the issue and also be an accountability partner to the coachee.

Lead Coach: Innocente Burger

Innocente started her journey to support others by studying Psychology.  As a result she became a psychometrist and HR consultant. She followed this with a career on Marketing, all the while focussing on individuals in business and helping them to achieve their goals. Her rich background in Business, Psychology and Coaching allows her to assist clients regardless of the nature of their inquiry.

Innocente studied psychology at the University of the Free State and has a business and coaching background. She also has a love for learning and besides her university studies:

  • She completed her Coach Practitioner course through the South African College for Applied Psychology.
  • She is a Gallup Global Strengths Coach .
  • She is an mBIT Coach
  • She is currently completing her ICF ACC accreditation.
